The 34th World Congress of Science and Technology Parks of the IASP association, which could be held in 2020 at the PCT Cartuja, celebrated its latest edition in Istanbul (Turkey).
This event, that took place on September 26-29 of 2017, brought together nearly 1,000 executives in R&D, business angels, patent agents and entrepreneurs from 70 countries. The speakers at this event discussed new ideas for the future of innovation in the sector.
For years, IASP has been and continues to be a world reference in the STPs sector, capturing opportunities and movements related to innovation, discovering the evolution of traditional parks and the new role of cities in urban, social and economic transformation. This association looks to promote the role of technology parks as global connectors of the global innovation ecosystem.
Several well-known speakers in the sector attended Istambul 2017, such as Josep Piqué, Luis Gustavo Enrique Peles, Artemis Saitakis, Baybars Altuntas, Basak Ozcan, Banu Onaral, Deniz Tuncalp, Carlos Aranha, Frank Soqui, Ismael Ari, Jacques Barcia, Luis Sanz, and many others.

This conference is an opportunity to establish international connections, exchange knowledge and learn from others. We want to bring all that knowledge to Seville, and that is why we decided to apply to be a candidate to host the 2020 IASP Congress.
