Isfahan is the venue of the IASP 2018 Congress which will take place during September 2-5, where the main theme will be "towards sustainable cities and communities: fostering innovation ecosystems".
The IASP 2018 Congress program has been divided into a variety of sessions, both traditional and parallel plenary sessions dealing with specific issues. There is also room for innovative formats where attendants will be able to share knowledge in a more dynamic way. Under the aforementioned approach, the Steering Committee has outlined 4 main themes for this new edition of 2018, which can be consulted in detail on this website.
Isfahan, venue of the IASP 2018 Congress, is the capital of culture and civilization of Iran, Iran's number one tourist destination on its own merits. The city located in the center of Iran is best known for its Persian architecture featuring the Imam Mosque, the Ali Qapu Palace, the Sheikh Loft Allagh Mosque and many other charms of the city.
Streets, bazaars, mosques and a variety of historical museums from different eras characterize a city full of beauty and a lot of history.
With a population of 1,756,126 inhabitants distributed along its 493,82 km2 making it the third largest city in the country, this beautiful city twinned with cities such as Barcelona has been chosen as the venue for this year's famous congress that we hope to host in Seville in 2020.
