Seville faces a great challenge: the Cartuja Scientific and Technological Park has been elected as a candidate for Seville to be the venue for IASP World Congress in 2020, after passing the first filter. In September we will defend our candidacy in the congress of the same association this year, which will take place in Isfahan (Iran).
IASP is an association whose goal is to act as a link between all STPs, incubators, universities and research and innovation centers in the world. It currently has 374 members from 77 different countries.
This annual congress held by the IASP is one of the most important events in the sector, which could attract more than a thousand people to the city that hosts it, during the four days in which the meeting takes place. Beyond the impact that this can have on the economy and tourism of the congress venue, it is important to highlight that this city becomes the epicenter of the world map of innovation, with the visibility that this entails.
In this application, we compete with two other excellent centers of innovation: the Technological Park of Ljubljana (Slovenia), and the Research and Technological Innovation Park of Monterrey (Mexico).
From #PCTCartuja we invite you all to make this candidacy your own. We suggest using the hashtag #SevillaforIASP, with which you can help us defend all those reasons why Seville should host this important annual event.
